Today 6th grade will learn about the class wiki, how it helps us to communicate, and how it will serve as a resource for them both in and out of class. We will:
Observe as I demonstrate the key features of the wiki on the Smartboard
Access their email to accept their invitation to the wiki
Spend a few minutes discovering the wiki for themselves

I will demonstrate how to set up an account on the Learning Express Library through Infohio by showing the Learning Express Library Account Setup screencast. Please fee free to look at it at home as well.
Students will use the screencast as a resource to setup their own account and add Microsoft Publisher 2007 as a course in their account.
They will watch the first part of a video lesson on how to use Publisher ... for some reason students tend to find an online tutorial more interesting than me :-).
Assessment
Students will be assessed on participation, Learning Express Library account setup, and adding Publisher to their list of courses.
